Sochi is a resort city on the Black Sea in Krasnodar Krai, 1,500 km south of Moscow in the southern-western region of Russia.

With beautiful warm sea on one side, and the snowcapped peaks of the Caucasus Mountains on the other, greater Sochi is claimed to be the longest city in Europe, 147 km (91 mi). The area’s endless beaches, exotic vegetation, national parks, historic architecture, mineral baths, arts festivals and lively culture have made the city a prominent resort destination.
